Updates 1st February 2021
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Hope you are all refreshed and feeling well after the weekend.
Lá Fhéile Bríde do gach duine. Today is St Brigid’s Day, the 1st of February, the first day of Spring, a new quarter in the calendar year.
It has its origin in the ancient Celtic festival of Imbolc, a festival of light celebrating brighter days and warmer weather.
As we reflect on the challenges and stresses of the last year, perhaps we can now look forward to better days to come.
This week we celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week. Minding the Mind is more important now than ever. The importance of facilitating our children to express their feelings and talk about their emotions will open up conversations about Mental Health.
The Staff continue to promote lessons from the Weaving Wellbeing program and Fiona Forman author of the program has provided a range of activities for this week to include videos, positive quotes and worksheets.
We will share these with the children.
Miss McFadden provides the School Community with wonderful, positive, mindful thoughts daily on our School Story.
You can check out the Home School Hub from 10am to 12pm daily on RTE 2.

Mindful of our journey in the online space, I attach for your consideration the Remote Learning plan which was shared previously on the 8th January 2021.

We will continue to keep in touch and share updates accordingly.

Have a good week.

Kindest regards
Bláithín
